1988 vintage. At Cheval Blanc for dinner with Olivier for dinner. Medium ruby hue. Amazing nose - pencil sharpening, cedar, dark fresh plums. Black currant notes. Savoury. Smokey and earthy. On the palate, excellent electricity and tension - medium plus acidity, medium body and alcohol and great concentration. Huge finish. Very very good. Drink now until 2027. Interesting to drink alongside the Chevals. Much less muscle and more feminine.
