Acts half its age, fresh as a daisy which is something to admire in this vintage. Easily another 20 years here. Probably much better in 5 years.

Very 2003. Plush, leaning a touch overripe for my palate, but still well-managed. On the nose: dense black fruit, with loads of plum. Lovely density, weight and acidity. Comes off more elegant on the palate. Softer tannin than expected on the finish, but maybe it was just covered up by ripe fruit.

Beautiful wine, fruit, alcohol, subtle chalk and incredibly balanced, just kept getting better and better, went really well with the fois and duck. Really getting into 2003 Bordeauxs
