Château L'Evangile
Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend
Young but rich. Quite extracted but lovely. Needs 10 more years to soften and integrate and show its depth, but the core is there! Like belt fruit with a trace of mint. Some earth tones as well. Holds up.

Apr 3rd, 20161.5 hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A remarkable dark ruby red color. On the nose: beautiful notes of dark plum, cassis, cedar, spice, truffles, creme brulee. Taste: elegant, rich, balanced, great mouthfeel wine with bing cherry, dark chocolate, spice, cedar, and a plumy black tea lingering long finish. YUM! Still a little primary, but starting to show off the terrific 05 vintage. So, if you have a few bottles, pop one.

Needed to pull a cork on a '05 and went with the Pomerol. A good way to ease into the vintage. No worries and should continue to thrive in the bottle but good to go now.
