The wine had a deep Bordeaux color, the nose is full of black current, chocolate , coffee and smokey earth, it has a full body with firm tannin that needs to open up and will soften with time, long dry finish. Dark almost black color, tar tobacco leathery nose, rich luscious chewy fruit with gentle tannins and great structure. Very enjoyable now but great for the next 5-10 years.

Dark fruit, blackcurrant, blackberries, licorice, some cedar and a touch of graphite, very typical left bank aromas to go with a lush and velvety palate, rich and elegant, structured and balanced, good length, really good 2008 LB. 93-94

Black currant aroma and flavor is quite comfortable. Enough tanning, which is getting calm over time. Mid - full and 2008 is not too close to full compared with 2010, so it has elegancy.
