Château Maréchaux
Bordeaux Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Earthy nose of blueberries, plums, cherries, licorice, oak, earth, vegetables, graphite, spices, bitter herbs, tobacco leaf, wet leaves, vinaigrette and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, earth, vegetables, vinaigrette, tobacco, bitter herbs, bell pepper, wet leaves and peppercorn.
Short finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This red Bordeaux is drinkable, but unbalanced, earthy and a little bitter. Showing a nice mouthfeel and mild complexity.
Good right out of the bottle and gets earthier as it opens up.
Since this was a great vintage, it might benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
Good for everyday and better with food. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
Not bad for a Monday 😊
14% alcohol by volume.
