This magnum was super bretty out of the gate but cleaned up nicely. It can be hard to live up to Margaux even for Margaux.

1989 vintage 375ML format. Excellent fill. Pristine cork. Decanted and throwing appropriate sed. Tasted 15 mins post-decant. Medium body. Absolutely firing on all cylinders and in “the zone” now and for the foreseeable future. Gorgeous flavors of dark roast coffee and black tea on a forever finish. Phenomenal. 1.5.24.

Essentially nothing more I could ask for in Bdx. Btl had the original price on it: 69.95 USD. That ship has long ago sailed. Lived up to the expectations I had the last and wholly singular time I tried it: the first First Growth BDX I ever had and it took my breath away.
