Having a great wine at one of our first tastings... this one is definitely a keeper. Great all around body and opened up nicely.

So much fresh fruit and grippy tannins there, after 18 years. Youthful and I would give it more time in the bottle, there is enough of everything to allow it even more complexity.

When drunk side by side with the 2001 Lafite Rothschild this seemed a little past due. The nose is incredible: cigar box, cedar and leather are predominant. The fruit is secondary but appeared more after a half hour.

Ok I decided time to drink what you have bought. This was amazing. Low mid neck ullage. Of course needed 30 minutes out of bottle but still deep dark purple. Tannins soft. Leather and earth as you would expect.
