Deep garnet red, no bricking on the edges. Layered nose with a touch of brett, bright cherries, perfume and forest floor. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Smooth and elegant attack with perfumed notes, crushed gravel and dried cherries. Excellent backbone and dry, long finish. Drink till 2032.

So wound up, yet so brooding. Like a potpourri tobacco time bomb.

Tried 3 years ago, and it was a tannic bottle of disappointment, it's changed for the better.

2 hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A splendid dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: dark fruit, cocoa, pencil shavings, floral, cigar box, menthol. Taste: soft, elegant wine with some black/red fruit, currants, crushed stone, and an earthy black tea lean medium finish. Not the depth and power of a great year, drinks well now...not sure how much more this will improve.

First time trying this wine at such a young age. No sense in rating, this baby needs time.

1.5 hour decant(decent chunky/cloudy sediment). A delightful deep murky dark garnet color with slight bricking. On the nose: Nice muted nose of forest floor, cigar, strawberry, burnt coffee, floral, start of that sweet aged perfume. Taste: smooth, fresh, medium body wine with big cassis, earthy, minerals, plum, crushed rocks, and spiced tobacco medium plus finish.....still a little austere and thin on the end with some unresolved tannins. Will it come together with more time?

Confession: these notes may not be reliable......bought a case of this off vintage wine.....going to like it whether I did or not

At least once in my life, although not worth the $600 price tag.
