Bordeaux: the wine I never reach for yet every time I have one I find myself continuously reaching for my glass. It's earthy, plumy and gamy and oh so easy to drink.

Big, lush fruits. Tries to abide but can't quite fit itself into the "focused" box...

Pretty closed off nose with an absent front palate but is followed with lush raspberry extract and plum juice. Some herbaceousness follows. Very "new worldish" and probably the best Bordeaux I have drank in the sub $20 area.

Ripe red plums in the nose with the same on the first taste with the lovely tang of plum skin. Dark fruit, black berries, sour cherry but with an almost citrus fresh acidity through the finish. A nice balance and an easy pick for any protein based menu.
