Been very anticipated to try this wine. didnt from the vauthier family. the fruit level is limited but the mineral and opulence is not bad. overall the palate is rather keap.

The ‘07 is fantastic as of 1Q18. It’s mellow, yet full bodied w/ tannins on the back end. For the price I have not had a better bottle in recent memory

Dark color, closed nose. Just a hint of caramel and charred old barrel revealing plums with air. Big and dark with good black cherry fruit, a bit of ETOH, graphite and a hit of acid on the finish. Needs time.

Fairly intense (for a Bordeaux) black cherry palate, heavy body, a bit powdery, and hot and unbalanced on the back palate. Still like it tho - tasty.
