At the mid palate poise and opulence seem to be dueling for precedence, but then the Mouton menthol, spices and nuttiness, and here some caramel and cassis, almost overtake the experience, and the nicely rounded tannins, and the seamless pervading core of fruit, the spice enlivened composure, lively if subtle acidity, along with truffles captivate on the simply bravura finish.
