Honestly, very disappointed by the Comtesse today. Seriously overrated. Found three or four minor producers with noticeably better wines from '95 onwards.

Still good but overall these guys have really gone down hill...

Autumn leaves, forest, gravel, red currant. Very enticing nose. Good mid-palate depth with fresh red fruit. Still some tannin, lessened with air. Drinking very well now. Chalky finish, medium to long.
