"The Black Wine of Cahors" doesn't disappoint. Opaque purple color, with black fruits dominating the nose, berry, plum and currant. The wine has good weight to it, supporting the earthen notes of turned earth and wet leaves. The finish leaves a little to be desired but otherwise this is a decently powerful malbec.
