On the nose the bubblegum hits you first, followed by earth and sweeter red fruit than you'd expect. The palate is a frenzied mix of red fruits and flowers, dancing on your tongue like little ballerinas.

Palate of cherries, bitter chocolate and clove.

This is Napa Valley Merlot all right. And it is delicious with a NY Strip.

2013 vintage Mira Luna Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Blacktail Vineyard.

Crazy light color on this, perhaps the lightest red wine I've ever had. Bordering on rose status!

Good amount of cranberry and pomegranate on the nose also featuring some pretty well integrated oak aging on the palate. For a 5 year old wine the acid and structure hold up really well. I don't think this wine will change the world, but it will damn sure make it better. — 6 years ago

Dusty red fruit and burned earth. Totally rustic and perfect for a charcuterie plate and duck breast entree.

This is most likely going to be my summer banger for 2018. Light Ruby/pink hue with an oceans worth of watery rim. Not typical of traditional sangiovese, this was served chilled and is super fruity on the nose, evoking wild strawberries and fresh herbs and a slight balsamic note. The palate makes me dizzy with it's rush of acidity that quickly fades and is reminiscent of effervescence. This is light and fresh, fruity and fantastic. — 6 years ago

2001 South Eastern Australia Shiraz.

Such an awesome nose on this, full of savory stewed strawberries, raspberries, plums and baking spices. Lots of chocolate on the palate, with meatiness and smokiness showing up after.

I'm not sure how a 2001 Australian Shiraz should taste like, but if it's like this, I'll be okay with more. — 6 years ago

2004 and the color shows it's age, a mature golden color with a watery rim.

Petrol comes off the nose on first white, followed by beautiful lemon meringue, yellow apple and baked stone fruits, backed by a slight mineral note and tons of florality.

Palate is equal parts sweet and acid, blending together well and with a long finish. — 6 years ago
