This has aged into quite a beauty. Floral, lots of potting soil, some cassis, fresh rain, meadow, a dark profile yet aged yet not. Terrific nose. Lots of tar and tobacco as well. Palate is compact and fresh with nice density and opulence and length. Persistent. Good ripe tannins and that trademark 2000 whiplash acidity. Love it.

Jun 27th, 2014Love me some 2000 Bordeaux. Flowers, wet dirt, berries, really vivid aromas. Great 2000 acids, inner mouth aromas and very pure. Elegant, good concentration. I think this was $22 on futures. Only futures I ever bought were 2000. Still have a few cases to dig into.

Bought, just after release and a great tasting, at the Chateau !
Decanted for 3 hours!
Dark in color, a great nose with cassis fruit, blueberries, smooth cedar notes, earth, pencil shavings. The palate is even better great ripe black and red fruits, layered, medium to full bodied, soft ripened tannins, earth, it is drinking very well now, problely at his peak now ! 93 DSP

Smooth tannin and dark fruit is still hanging on with pencil tones. Has some finesse for a cab and did well with time. Drink now.
