This is pretty damn good stuff...a bit rustic with some interesting funk but lots of fruit and fun to drink. Better than a lot of others out there trying to play southern Rhone at twice the price.

Palate is harsh and stemmy at first--really benefitted from some air. Still pretty astringent, but there's a bit of coconut and vanilla from the oak, along with raspberry and black cherry and a bit of olive. This isn't terrible, but I'd call it unbalanced: the harshness overwhelms.
