St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend

Vegetal and funk on the nose from the start. If any fruit at the start on the nose, it’s cranberry, almost craisins, and cherry; red fruit. On the palate initially, I think the tannins need to resolve themselves. This might need to be decanted. Has a plummy finish. Will decant to prepare for grilled ribeye. More notes to follow.

Still wonderful Grand Cru. Flavors still balanced. Liked the old world acids

2 hour decant revealed bright fruit with Excellent mineral balance. Drink now.

Decanted 2-3 hrs. Beautiful depth of flavors. Black pepper and red cherries.

Sorrel, green coffee beans (Sumatran), slight cinnamon, strong nose, light raspberry jam, grape frauns, not too heavy

This is not even recognizable as Bordeaux. Way over the top and to me it tasted more like some of the over done cabs coming out of Paso these days.
