From a 5 Bordeaux grape blend: 84% Cab Sauv, 6% Merlot, 6% Cab Franc, 2% Malbec & 2% Petit Verdot, aged 20 months French oak. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe dark fruits, cedar and cigar box spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and currants with notes of stewed prunes, mushroom, pepper, herbs and earthy notes. Fine sweet tannins, long finish ending with cacao, smoky oak, fruit and mineral tang. Very nice, aging well.

Monday night celebration wine. Rich chocolate covered cherries stored in a cedar cigar box. Wish I had a cigar to go with!

Last opened one of these 2012 vintages nearly three years ago. Spectacular! Hard to find a better American Bordeaux-style blend, especially at this price. Lush, smooth, outstanding!

Lush (the wine, not me.) Cherry, chocolate, tobacco. Very impressive wine.

As expected from this vineyard, a touch pricey for the experience.

One of my favorite wines of all of Sonoma County, poured to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of Ryan and Steph, and the visit of Fi!

We decanted this bottle after opening it shortly before serving.

Rich, dense, dark fruits, tar, tobacco, full bodied red wine.

80 degrees in Denver yesterday and snow today.

Since drinking 1997 vintage , I had soft spot for wine . This vintage definitely not the '97 but is very nice. Aroma jumps out of the glass while pouring. Good mouth feel, smooth tannins. Typical Sonoma tastes only a very very small hint of green herbs . Not great with Manchego cheese.
