Pleasing #pomerol - blackberry preserve, fig and forest floor aroma with faint black pepper. Mouthfeel a little lighter than expected given the dark purple color in the glass. Lush blue and black fruit carried by silky tannins reveal classic Pomerol from a very good vintage. This paired nicely with braised beef short ribs in a Bordeaux sauce at a nice French restaurant dining outdoors on a beautiful fall evening.
