Great fruit and acid. Absence of oak, which is welcomed really lets the naturalness of this wine shine through. It’s almost Beaujolais juicy. Really nice wine

Aug 22nd, 2018When I receive samples, I make a point of waiting to research the wines until after I've tasted them. First impression—that it's primarily Cab Franc possibly from the Loire was incorrect—turns out the Tire Pé DieM 2012 is 100% Merlot, organically grown in clay and limestone soils. The profile is light and primary. Cherry clafoutis, vanilla, fennel pollin. Fermented and aged in concrete, the tannins are quite powdery, a silkily brocaded backdrop to high-toned tart acidity cherries. Pie cherries, rhubarb compote, and crushed lavender linger at the close. 13.0% ABV | Sample
