Cassis, tobacco, pencil, powdery and spicy, dash of mint and oak. Wonderful entry level St. Estephe. Good QPR..
A point.
The owners of Montrose bought this estate in 2006, which seems like a clever move to me.

Aug 17th, 20202005 purchased at the chateau. Medium bodied but with a nice long somewhat floral finish. Unusual for a St Esteph, which usually has a more earthy profile. Medium tannins and medium bodied. Not quite enough oomph to stand up to the barbecued tri-tip we had but very nice.

Dec 26th, 2016Enjoyed this Saint-Estephe between Beijing and Dubai, on Emirates. Blackcurrant and cherry fruit, harmonious and elegant palate.

Dec 17th, 20152005 vintage. Deep ruby. Seems quite Merlot dominant. Silky and smooth, tannins on the ripe side. Red and black fruits, some tobacco leaf and leather. Quite rich on the mid palate and medium length on finish. Good value 2005 St Estephe.
