One of my last bottle. A Bordeaux Clairet (Rose), drinks like a full bodied red. Not overly complex but pairs well with burgers, skirt steak and ribs off the grill.

Kind if midway between a rose and a red. Fills a niche you didn't know was missing. Pairs well with lots of different foods

2015, Chateau Turcaud, Bordeaux Clairette, 50%Merlot, 50% Cab Franc. Gorgeous transparent Ruby color. Not overly complex but drinks well. Tart red and black fruit, a little smoke, earthy and well balanced. Paired well with pizza.

2015, Chateau Turcaud, Bordeaux Clairette, 50 Cab Franc/ 50 Merlot. Gorgeous transparent Ruby red. Tart Red/Black fruit, little black pepper, forest floor and well balanced. Paired really well with pork chops and with hamburgers. Not that great as a patio apertif; needs food.

Very light in color. I believe this is technically a red wine but even compared to extremely light reds like Grignolino it's a different animal. Drinks more like a rosé but doesn't taste as white as that. The nose and flavor both brought to mind white cherries but it's a very subtle flavor. A little earth and some flowers on the nose as well. Worth a look around for.

Light and fragrant, hint of strawberry. Better than some Pinot Noir's I've had.

Heavier than most roses these days. I seems to get more Merlot than Cab Franc.
