This chehalem was showing its development and is the most Burgundian domestic pinot I've had yet. It had a complex aroma and integrated palate of roses, dried red cherries, spicy forest floor, and some savory mushroom notes are just beginning to show. While the flavors are a touch rustic, this is quite balanced and has bright acid, so I want to see where this goes with 5 more years.
