Wow, this blows away almost every other chardonnay I've ever had. Like a Cantillon gueuze (one of the premier Belgian lambic blends for the beer-illiterate), it has a strong oaky character and some barnyard funk, some buttery notes and stone fruit. This alone made coming to Hawkes Bay worth it.
