Surprisingly ripe, oily, heavyweight Viognier coming from 21yo vines. Aged in SS.
No obvious stigmas detected (anyway I’d like taste it young).
Glittering light golden color.
Gust of eucalyptus + mint, then apricot, peach, almond croissants, sea breeze, rose + orange blossom.
Smooth medium+ bodied palate with just right acidity and delicate minerality. Succulently fruity character shows apricot, pineapple, medlar, ripe melon, feijoa.
Medium finish copying palate, brooding zesty feijoa.
Pair: grilled seabass.

Definitely the head if it's class for California Viognier orange blossom and peach fruitiness. $7.49 Surdyk's winter 2014. Very good with corn and basil tart.
