Lune d'Argent White Bordeaux Blend

What a courteous wine, each element and sensation making room for the next. There’s waxiness and pyrazines and honeysuckle and flowers and vanilla beans but they are all teaming up to support citrus. But the team effort shines through. Balanced, delicious, interesting, it is a courteous wine. I don’t know if it is a thrilling one but I’d ask it out again. And maybe again. As the night goes it keeps revealing more of itself to me, I don’t mind seeing more.

Yellow. Creamy. Rich. Dry. Acidic. Citrus.
Herbaceous. Clos des Lunes Cuvée Lune d’Argent @1500/G, P Bocuse, 250208

70% semillon 30% sauv blanc.

Pop and pour yesterday. Notes from 24 hrs open. In a fantastic place now. On the nose: gooseberry, citrus oil, soft nettle. On the palate: excellent acidity and density for its style with some cool grapefruit bitterness and nice tang and length on the finish.

Appearance - Pale Lemon

Nose - Medium Intensity of Peaches, Lemon, Green Apples.

Palate - Dry. Vibrant Acidity. Low Tannins. Medium to Full Body. Medium Flavour Intensity of peaches, tangerine, green apples, oak. Medium to long Finish.

Conclusion - Very good quality wine.

Not the crisp mineral white that I usually prefer. More smooth with almond notes. it's not a giant popcorn butter Chardonnay but it has some hints of Oak. Definitely chicken and pork not fish. No Chinese or Vietnamese would go very well

Buen sabor a precio razonable

Ruikt fruitig, smaakt vol en heeft een zachte maar droge afdronk.

This was extremely pleasant. Honeycomb with some lemon zest. Completely neutral on the palate. Great mouthfeel.
