Almost brick but still has solid red in it. Nose is very interesting, dust, chalk, tobacco, leather and some sweetness like pine shavings. For fruits in the nose it has some strawberries. Sweeter than expected on the palate. Also some cherries, Nice body that holds together throughout. Moderate tannins that are well integrated. Nothing off putting for us. Finish lingers with a slight tartness from something along the lines of cherries.
