Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

2014 vintage. I am not a big fan of this estate, as I find the wines overextracted, leading to a drying finish. This 2014 is no exception, but if you like the more extracted style, you will rate this much higher.

Black currant, leather, cedar, menthol. Very nice nose. The palate is full on fruity, with a good width and some coffee and milky touch on the sides. Some grainy tannins in mid palate kick off a very long and delicious finish with currant and meat juice and that coffee and milky touch. This wine has presence, texture, complexity and class. Sleeper of the Vintage. Dark berries in the nose. Lots of overall coating Cassis fruit. Rich and very balanced. Long lasting finish.

Powerful blackberry and currant nose with touches of vanilla, cigar, coffee and oak. Superb ample palate made of the same black berries. Firm tannins and a superb balance. Long finish that goes for a while before fading out. Very nice wine, better than a handful of crus classés.
