Very Bordeaux nose with fresh black currant, black currant leaf, a hint of pencil shavings, a touch of roast & a menthol whiff. A bit plump upon opening but after a few hours they blows off and the nose shows a cool, fresh, gravelly character. Enticing.
Proper plush, velvety tannins on the palate. Fleshy, so juicy, nicely polished & fine. In between black fruit galore checked by fresh acidity. Nice tension here & good depth. Plus a very, very decent finish
I heard & read about this wine for while, finally got to taste it & I’m not disappointed. A very nice, classic, ripe Bordeaux. Need to get more!
