Not really my kind of wine, but I can certainly appreciate the complexity and elegance here. The only caveat is that it does smack you in the face with reductive, gassy aromas at this stage. It redeems itself on the palate with sweet, concentrated dark fruit flavours, and heaps of spicy and earthy notes. Medium bodied with dusty tannins. Finishes long, earthy, and somewhat juicy, with a hint of oak. First encounter with this winery and will certainly keep an eye out for their wines in the future.

Thanksgiving bottle #2. An austere, structured wine. Tannic, varying earth, bramble notes with dark fruit. Interesting variations as it breathed.
