Had this with a delmonico steak. Fabulous pairing. Wine has perfectly aged. I get a strong anise nose and dark fruit. Very smooth, easy finish.

What a Saturday should be. Found some perfectly marbles Delmonico steaks grilled them to a glorious medium rare, popped an aged Clos Pegase cab and slid into gastronomic nirvana. Classic Napa nose of dark fruit, cassis, leather, cedar and earth. Good balance. Pleasing, though somewhat thinner than expected, mouth feel. Medium length. My last bottle of a worthy CA effort
