A worthy follow up effort, this Zinfandel is smooth drinking and restrained - no clumsy oak or jammy syrup here. Instead we have a beautiful wine that is all about the cherry and blueberry fruit, with a silky but non-cloying mouthfeel. Really dark and viscous: smells spiced and earthy, and tastes earthy (hint of coffee?) and woody in a similar way as Predator. Smooth.
