Rita Ferreira of Conceito is easily one of the best winemakers in Portugal. Even her entry level Douro red is bursting with freshness, so floral and savory and bright, yet truly a meaty, robust, properly "Douro" wine. So glad to finally be able to find her stuff in the NY market.

V13. Big full bodied wine, started bitter and young , but after an hour settled some what to rich dark black berry fruit with a dry finish and tight tannins. Can spend more time in the bottle.

Vin blanc du Douro 2015. Nez d'agrumes et de fines herbes, genre basilic citron. vif au goût, croquant, une certaine rondeur en bouche malgré sa vivacité. Idéal avec un poisson.
