Not sure the slightly lighter tannin and mellow flavors were due to age or the region. Some cherry and modest dark berry along with what I thought was a faint licorice in mid palate.

Great velvety texture, juicy acidity and fine tannin with great balance and structure. Ripe black cherry and plum with a slight hint of smoke on the finish
