Grabbed another taste again, still do not like the wine. Unusual SB, if you like heat on your otherwise crisp wine, maybe this is for you, ABV 16.5%! Aromas of citrus fruit with spice notes. On the palate not much fruit comes through, too much else going on, toasty oak, sweet spice with a jolt of acidity. Medium finish ending with hot alcohol burn. Pricey, personally I like my SB’s with more of a fruit character as I’m not looking for a shot of Tequila with my wine! Tasting Sample!

If you thought mixing sauv blanc and tequila was a bad idea... you are a rational human being, and completely correct. Everclear poured over cooked grapes and tainted by oak smoke. For novelty purposes only.

1 person found it helpfulJun 26th, 2018I’m a huge fan of the Cooper & Thief red and saw this one at my local HEB. Initially, I was intrigued by the respectable ABV, ringing in at 16.5%! Unfortunately, I will likely not buy this one again, because frankly, it tasted like a case of rot gut.

These guys make some super funky interesting stuff. This was aged in Casa Noble tequila barrels. Has a faint tequila flavor with toasted vanilla and citrus. Really good.

Jun 30th, 2019Consumed 6/2019. Bright & crisp. Aged in anejo tequila barrels for 3 years. Rich w hints of citrus & spice, toasty vanilla flavors w complex floral aromas. Finishes w a smooth mouth feel reminiscent of a fine tequila.
