Damien Coquelet
Côte du Py Morgon Gamay
Morgon, Beaujolais, Burgundy, France

Extremely floral, excellent grip and tension. Bitter cherry pit, strawberry jam, ripe plum, Asian spice, orange peel, herbal tea and mulling spices. Definitely a natural wine showing sediment and cider-like mouthfeel after a few hours of air. Slightly oxidative with highly expressive secondary aromatics, juicy acidity and savory top notes. Displaying great maturity and complexity. Killer Morgon from a master.

Balanced wine with good body, pleasant fruit and a little less minerality and acid on the tongue than other wines from this region. Strawberry and iron on the finish. Very good.
