The Dead Arm McLaren Vale Shiraz

Medium to Deep Ruby. Lovely fragrance of berry and chocolate - obviously Old Vine South Australian (in this case McLaren Vale) Shiraz. From the cooler 2004 vintage and all the better for it. Mouth filling palate with great length. Drinking at its peak but will soldier on for a while yet.

Wow - 10 yrs and still got plenty to give. Savoury tannins, complexity, long finish, great balance. Only 1 bottle :(

Initially enticing with liquorice nuances. In the savoury rather than big fruit mould. Noticeable astringency at finish. Expected more. 17. 2004 vintage.

Compared with many other older Aussie Syrahs u have opened recently, this one is focused, huckleberries and raspberries, still vibrant

(18/20) Много тонов редукции при открытии бутылки (винтовая пробка), в развитии тона редукции уходят и проявляются свежие ароматы спелых ягод черники, ежевики, чернослива, гвоздики, черного перца и шоколада. Довольно высокая кислотность и умеренная танинность, танины мягкие, бархатистые. Свежее, ягодное и молодое вино несмотря на 12-летний возраст.
