Zin can be so good when it's made right. Floral, brambly, and just ripe enough.

Deep black red color with black and red fruits, Kirsch, lavender, violet and potpourri spice aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, elegant with a silky texture with moth watering acidity with well integrated soft tannins with black raspberry, black cherry, a bit of strawberry, cranberry, orange rind and spice flavors. Long finish.

So far, Florence is my favorite wine that we make. Young vines (St Peters Church clones) offering raspberries, violets, mint, bright acidity and fine tannins. I love my new job.

One vintage behind release, vines were 8yrs old at this harvest. Still feminine and elegant, but with some baked red plum that I didn't get on the 2011.

2nd day open. Still fresh and pretty, high-toned red/black fruit and violets. Acidity is super bright, pairs very well with my steak tacos with ghost pepper hot sauce 👊

A little more jammy than the typical Mike Dashe creation, but the black spice lifts the wine from being dull
