2012 was the first vintage of Clos Marguerite, a high-end Bourg that at the time of release was the highest priced wine of the Appellation, more expensive than Roc de Cambes. A 50/50 Merlot/Malbec blend from 80 years old vines. Still looks young, very dark red with only slight evolution at the rim. While it is definitely a seriously good wine, for my taste, it has more power than finesse. Still fairly young at 11 years old, it showed better the next day. If you like the very extracted style, you will score this higher than me.
