Valle d'Aosta Torrette

Magnificent Alpine Red. Blend of Petite Rouge (75%), Mayolet (5%), Vien de Nus (10%) and Premetta (5%). Medium red color with purple highlights. Intense aromas and flavors of dark chocolate, black cherry/elderberry/huckleberry fruit, purple flowers, roasted nuts, black licorice and pepper spice. Firm tannins and a long, lingering and velvety finish. No sign of oak aging. Well balanced with excellent structure. A most pleasant surprise. Revisited in January 2024. Excellent!
