I made an analogy tonight of learning about wine and skiing. @DirtyandRowdy is definitely a double black diamond trail. You either love it (like me), feel exhilarated and thrilled. Other people might feel like just slid face first into a tree. One thing is for sure, it's never boring.

Sep 28th, 201613' Dirty & Rowdy Semillon. 11.6% ALC. Cloudy, medium golden color. I would've guessed an orange wine. I would've never guessed Semillon?
An aperitif wine, that you could carry right over to a meal. Decanted for an hour(it's needed)Little barnyard, citrus skins on the nose.
Lemon core, wet stone/rocks, orang peel, poundcake. Serve at cellar temperature, if not a little warmer.

Sep 14th, 2015A couple hours in the decanter really help this unfurl. However, if you're waiting for fruit, it might be a long, long time. This is all about savory mineral texture. Excellent with some orange & fennel halibut. There must be some magic dust that @Hardy Wallace puts in the all the D&R bottles to make them taste better after a three hour decant.
