Sémillon

Château d'Yquem

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2001

Without doubt the greatest sticky I’ve ever tasted. I nosed it for 30 mins, it was so clear and bright with tropical fruit and light stony minerality. The apricot and mango were lifted over my palate by actual angels who may’ve swiped a taste on the brief journey. Wish I could’ve sat up with a last glass all night, thank you Lenny. 🙏🏼 — 14 days ago

Château Guiraud

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2009

2009 vintage ( half bottle). Looks more evolved than the 2010 tasted alongside. But it is also much more complex. Intense perfume showing an abundance of noble rot, with roasted nuts, pineapple, honey, and a hint of thyme. Concentrated and layered, perfectly balanced and very long. Seems to be a notch above the 2010 today — a month ago

Clos Floridene

Graves Blanc White Bordeaux Blend 2021

Medium gold in color; lemon zest, jasmine, and chamomile on the nose; high acidity; tastes like lemons, white peach, and saline with a long finish. Nellie and I like it. — 18 days ago

Also great. More amber in color. Nice balance and not as sweet as the d’yquem. More butterscotch
