Big Nose Full Body Wine Sales in Brooklyn. “May I finish that Riesling?”
Great structure here with fleshy berries and a fair amount of tannin. This vintage is rather woodsy in character showing as cedar instead of tomato leaf. Almost Cab Franc like in nature. This is quite a lot of wine for $30 on the shelf. — 6 days ago
Such a beautiful wine leading with a zesty charge of cracked pepper, grilled citrus, and barnyard, while not shying away from fruitiness. Gains weight with air and a darker, more serious stewed intensity of fruit leather and earth. Drank with a friend who really appreciated it, and we both returned to our glasses repeatedly waxing poetic with our expressions. Purchased at Astor. — 25 days ago
Very interesting wine. Smells like blue cheese and sourdough starter on the nose. Palate is very mineral with nice acidic tension. Neutral oak? Citrus driven, not fruity. Went great with yellowfin tuna and pork loin with braised leeks at Runner Up. Quite the wine list. — a day ago
Basque apples but macerated for 90 days with local cherries. “Txerri” is Basque for pig. Drinks like a Lambic. — 6 days ago
Pickle me in this when I die.
Solera is 5 years under flor, followed by 12 years oxidative. Saltwater taffy, but dry. Carmalized orange peel, but dry. Peanut brittle, but dry. French toast, but dry. Long, lifted, and very dry. Paired with squab (NY pigeon) jk, jk. — 21 days ago
I hear this is what the kids are drinking, and they are clearly alright. Meunier that is delicate and refined with tingling soft red fruits and strawberry danish. Gifted to us and paired with caviar on Kettle chips with crème fraiche.
Cheap date night. — 5 days ago

Off dry nama that is beautifully balanced. Just a pearl of RS with great weight and texture. Pair with tempura or uni. — 21 days ago
Beautiful wine with homemade shrimp cocktail for Oscar night. Think I’d have some buyer’s remorse at full retail. @Delectable where did all my wines go? My library only shows 78? — a month ago
Austin Hohnke
