Big Nose Full Body Wine Sales in Brooklyn. “May I finish that Riesling?”
On the rich side. Well balanced sweetness.
Style presents similar to Amaro del Capo to my palate. — 8 days ago
Holy balls! I need more nostrils to smell this. Brooding with game, bramble, and coffee grounds. Palate is slick but well concentrated with weight and tannin that linger spectacularly. Not cheap. — 8 days ago
My cider game could use some work, but this was a great one from Ontario County, aged 10 months in old barrels. Great texture, earthy brettiness, aromatics, and fruit. Balance was there for me. — 3 days ago
Super classic from a great vintage. Bright acids with leather, tobacco, smoke, and a touch of greenness. — 8 days ago
Blushy and bubbly in the glass. Pretty effortless on the palate. Nice interplay of richness and delicacy. — 8 days ago
First wine I have cellared for a decade!
Purchased for $40 in 2015. Gorgeous ruby/garnet color. Cherry, berry flesh, orange zest, vanilla, licorice, and root beer. Crazy good balance. This can no doubt go longer, but why wait? Absolutely singing with farfalle and sweet Italian sausage. — 14 days ago
Really lovely Greco for the money. Full with moderate acid. Pineapple and grilled peach. — 4 days ago
Now that’s a bitter bitch. Super intense and complex. Probably the most bitter Amaro I’ve tasted. Eye watering aromatics. For the masochists. Great packaging. — 8 days ago
Broad. Lemon curd, orchard apple, and mango. Bright, but leesy and creamy. My last bottle. Drinking great now but down to party for a long time. — 9 days ago
Austin Hohnke
Maybe this needs more time, but was not very aligned for my palate. Pretty pricey Barbera when the Valmaggiore Nebbiolo is only a couple bucks more expensive. — 3 days ago
