2016 bottling. Quite nice, and more interesting than the last. Enjoyed over a month after double decant. An attractive pungency, classic notes all in place.

I agree with Alex Liddell that it's hard to get worked up about 3-5 year blends of tinta negra mole. So where are the madeiras for everyday drinking? This colheita answers that question. Nearly twenty years old, medium rich, with a fantastically deceiving caramel nose. Fresh acidity with burnt caramel, nutshells, citrus, and other maderised notes on the palate. Short finish. Brilliant as an opener or on its own.
