Classic expression that delivers at a great price point. Dense cherry, cigar box, earthy. Acidity is there and helps keep a nice balance. This could probably age for a LONG time.

Didn't find the fruit to be under ripe, not much finish, didn't work with the food, that's my fault, fine, I paid too much on a restaurant list and that bothers me, probably wouldn't if I liked the wine.

Same producer as the famed DRC. This is a show stopper for the price point. Once this opened up it had complexity and balance. Cherry, plum and currants along with hints of tobacco. Expressive wine and just lovely.
