Dark and brooding in colour but shows browny translucent edges

Nose shows varnish at first and then stalky savoury notes with blood and some red berry too

Tannins still showing but great acid comes through mid palate. Savoury, smoked meats and mushroominess, with a hint of fruit. Ginger shows on the second sip, and savoury smoky notes get stronger but balanced nicely with the acid. Great length and firm tannins leave a lipsmacking taste

Shows very bright and fresh for the age.

Typical Burgundy. Nice, subtle level of Brett. Sweet (no stems). Slight acid on the finish.
