Very reductive right now. But in terms of weight, attack, structure, acid and finesse this is the best young Roncevie I’ve tasted among the last six vintages. I look forward to checking on this in a year, should show excellent bottle development given the components that are there now.

On the nose quite mineral, sea water, sourdough ferment; on the palate raspberry, cherry, bright acidity and grippy tannins

I believe this could be sold as a Gevrey but is instead released as a regional wine. Some spicy and games notes, but blind I may have called this a cool climate fresh tasting Syrah.
