On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of dark brambles, a touch of horse blanket, garrigue, purple flowers, black pepper, leather, and inorganic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Rustic and ever so becoming. What I would give to have unmitigated access to one of Clape’s most humble wines. Unfortunately, it’s almost harder to get than his Cornas these days. Drink now through 2038.
