Prior notes apply; fruit is lightly fading, but this is still an elegant and sophisticated lady.

Nose has strawberry, roses, cut tangerine, juiced Clementine and dry earth.
Palate is strawberry-tangerine (light), wet minerals, so much finesse, yet light in the mouth, just stunning.

Our final bottle of the vintage.

Thanksgiving 2020; a quiet day with just my wife and the kitties, hopefully 2021 brings family and dear friends back for group enjoyment of this Holiday.

Prior notes tweaked, still going strong, I'm still liking the '16 over the '17 vintage.

I love this rose. Floral, sour cherrie, Orange citrus rind, textured, juicy, complex, so so mineral. What a finish. Balanced. Fresh and dazzlingly pure.

This is the bomb rose. Stunning nose. Wet earth, so pure. Flower petals, roses, cherry fruit, strawberry, so delicate but deep and so savory, earthy and feral. What a nose. Gorgeous palate, dense and structured but again so delicate and pure. Lithe structure and cherry fruit like a ballerina on the palate. Long and complex finishes savory and mineral. Terrific.

Nose: the freshest grapefruit peel ever. So Floral.

Palate: grapefruit liquor mineral juicy. Wow. Not rose-ish. Vinous. Salty.

Needs an hour to open up. Then it’s maybe the best rose ever.

A must buy. There is no other wine like this.

Long finish.

An iconic rose

I saw @Severn Goodwin post this Rosé from Burgundy and was very curious about it & tried to find some but, couldn’t. After reading about the producer, I understand why now. They are a tiny producer of one hectare. So, we are talking low hundred(s) of cases. Then, who knows what percent of that makes it into the US.

I asked
@Severn Goodwin about it as searching brought up a goose egg. He was very nice to send me this bottle. Thank you very much Severn.

I have been extremely distracted lately and was looking to drink it sooner but, c’est la vie. As it was 100 today where it should be (especially in later October), tonight is the perfect occasion for this variation of and fine expression of Rosé from Burgundy.

The nose reveals; almost notes of cognac/liqueured fruits, a waxy character, overripe strawberries, blood orange, hint of cooked rhubarb, slightly burnt caramel, steeped fruit teas, potpourri florals, orange zest, haunting, lean watermelon, grey volcanic minerals, saline notes/sea spray, steely flintiness with candied to fresh red & pink roses.

The body is richly full and waxy. Cognac/liqueured fruits, overripe strawberries, blood orange, hint of cooked rhubarb, slightly burnt caramel, steeped fruit teas, potpourri of flowers, orange zest, haunting lean watermelon, grey volcanic minerals, crunchy dry stones, grainy chalkiness & white spice with deep palate penetration and heat, saline notes/sea spray, steely flintiness with candied to fresh red & pink roses.

Just delicious, Wow 2016, Burgundy, and ROSÉ!

No dissatisfaction here! Just a wicked bottle of Burgundian Rosé.

Nose is overwhelming strawberry, roses, cut tangerine and dry earth.

Palate is strawberry-tangerine (light), wet minerals, so much finesse, yet light in the mouth, just stunning.

Not your usual rose. Definitely a hint of oxidation which I think is intentional. Very dense. Juicy.
