A rare bird from Cécile Tremblay - only one barrel made using 100% whole bunch and without sulphur; bottled exclusively in magnums. Opens with a floral and dark-fruited perfume that's quite captivating, followed by a concentrated and juicy palate. The wine offers excellent purity for me, which could be construed as being one-dimensional. I believe its rather closed at the moment, but L calls it "unemotional" which I think is simply too harsh. Finishes long and chewy. I could complain about the lack of minerally tones, but at midnight, this was an excellent night cap.
